Evangers Cat Food Reviews

Evangers Cat Food Ingredients

Evangers cat food formulas always have a protein source as their first ingredient. Currently, Evangers only has one type of dry cat food, which is their “Pheasant and Whitefish” formula. The first two ingredients are Pheasant and Whitefish, and the third ingredient is sweet potatoes. The carbohydrates in this formula seem to come from complex sources, such as oatmeal, millet, potatoes and peas. There are many different types of vegetables in Evangers dry cat food, such as beets, carrots, parsley, celery and spinach. Evangers also incorporates many different types of fruits into their dry cat food.

Evangers Cat Food Allergies

There don’t appear to be any corn, wheat or soy ingredients in Evangers cat food formulas. Since corn, wheat and soy are the three most common ingredients to cause allergies, this could mean that Evangers is a good choice for cats with sensitive digestive systems. If your cat has a specific allergy, you should always read the ingredients of any cat food formula.

Do far the meat lovers medley dry cat food is a hit with my 6 month old kitten. I actually found Evangers to be a bit less costly than others, for which I am grateful. I wanted to feed my cat premium but not give up eating myself. This will be my choice as long as he is eating it , healthy and happy

.I am so impressed with this brand. My cats love the high protein and fat with no fillers. I would buy this brand over any other.

Our cats HATED this stuff. I wanted to try something our one cat would like a lot since he has cancer and doesn’t eat much. It’s the only canned food they’ve ever left in the bowl. The only cat that liked it was the one that eats DOG DROOL! Even our piggiest cat will leave food in the bowl. I’ve never had so much undigested cat puke with any other food. It stinks when it’s puked up too. I’m trying to give away the rest of the cans I have. Our cats will be happy about that.

I’ve been feeding my 7 year old male cat Evanger’s Signature Series canned cat food since he had a blocked urethra from struvite crystals in mid April. Two weeks ago I purchased a case of the beef flavor and the food looked markedly different from everything I’d been buying for two months. Before, the beef looked like stew meat, slightly shredded in a thick broth. Now there are hard bits of meat in a standardized shape and size floating in a cloudy broth. What’s worse, each can has a 1/2 teaspoon or so of fat spirals and chunks floating in it. Eck! No wonder my cat no longer likes his favorite type of wet food. I’ll be changing soon.

My cats have numerous food allergies, so Evanger’s canned foods are the only ones I’ve found that they can eat. However, the cats aren’t crazy about this food. I’m having trouble getting the cats to eat at all, right now. There are lots of hard bits in the food that the cats can’t eat. I don’t know what these pieces are. The food doesn’t smell that good, I find. I am very thankful that there are foods like this which have a limited number of ingredients. Perhaps the quality and taste need to be improved a bit.
