I was given free samples of Artimis dry cat food for my 4 indoor cats and all seemed to like it. However the print on the sample bags are extremely small and can NOT read it even with a magnifying glass!! I’ve never heard of this brand before so I doubt I’ll buy it because of the review mentioned above and no other replies showed. My cats are of the utmost importance for me so I won’t take any chances with their health and will continue to search for the BEST FOOD possible for them1

I started feeding my 3 elderly cats Artemis when a friend’s younger cat died shortly after she started feeding it Artemis. We did not suspect the food, but now I do because after a few weeks on it their eyes & coats have lost their shine and their bellies are getting tubby. Since this is exactly the effect I’ve seen in numerous cats fed cheaper foods containing meat by-products, I am suspicious of this Hollywood company’s labeling. In any case, my cats are all showing negative effects on this food. I will avoid this brand in the future.

That’s an interesting comment to read. Artemis seem to be a good brand to me and the ingredients are sound. Personally I’ve fed their food to my dog and she’s extremely healthy and active (Border Collie). I’ve been planning to feed it to my cat but it’s not that easily available here in Australia.

The ingredients seem nutritionally sound, and there’s nothing that sticks out as bad.

I haven’t reviewed the cat food, but I’ve reviewed the dog food. If you scroll down to the ingredients you can see they’re all pretty good. The only iffy factor is ascorbic acid which isn’t the best source of vitamin C.

It’s also worth being aware most owners blame the food they feed when their dog or cat gets ill, but that’s not always the reason. Pets that start off life eating poor food may have problems later in life no matter what they eat.
