Eagle Pack Cat Food Reviews
Eagle Pack Cat Food Ingredients
Eagle Pack has two separate product lines for cats: Eagle Pack, and Eagle Pack Holistic Select. One thing to note about the regular Eagle Pack cat food formulas is that they are generally corn-heavy, with corn often being the second ingredient in many formulas. The first ingredient in Eagle Pack dry cat food formulas is always chicken meal. Ground yellow corn and corn gluten meal area also present as the main source of carbohydrates. Other carbohydrates usually include brown rice.
The Holistic Select formulas do not contain corn among their first five ingredients, instead deriving their carbohydrates from brown rice and oatmeal. The Holistic Select formulas may contain added salt, and they usually contain brown rice as their second ingredient. The first ingredient is always either a meat or a meat meal.
There are no artificial preservatives in any of Eagle Pack’s cat food formulas.
Eagle Pack Cat Food Allergies
Since Eagle Pack’s cat food formulas are generally corn-heavy, they should not be fed to cats that have a sensitivity to corn. Corn can cause allergic reactions in cats, even if they did not show any previous allergic symptoms. Since cats are obligate carnivores, they may not be able to easily digest a pet food formula that contains a high percentage of grains and carbohydrates. If your cat has a specific allergy, you should always read the ingredients of any cat food formula.

Eagle Pack Cat Food Ratings
Customer reviews of Eagle Pack cat food are generally mixed. While some cat owners seem to like the “Holistic Select” line of cat food formulas, the regular Eagle Pack formulas are too grain-heavy for most cats, and have mostly negative reviews. Interestingly enough, some cat owners had the same complaint about Holistic Select, since it includes a high percentage of rice as one of its primary ingredients. Some cats seem to develop digestive problems when fed certain Eagle Pack cat food formulas.
