Diamond Cat Food Reviews
Diamond Cat Food Ingredients
Diamond has two separate product lines, each of which have drastically different ingredients. Diamond’s regular formulas usually include by-products, corn, wheat, salt, powdered cellulose and other undesirable ingredients. Chicken by-product meal is the first ingredient in these formulas, and the main source of protein. Perhaps in an effort to appeal to more customers, Diamond also has “Diamond Naturals”, a brand they market as being corn, wheat and soy-free. The first ingredient in the Diamond Naturals formulas is usually a meat meal, with the carbohydrates coming from ground rice and flaxseed. Diamond Naturals does include powdered cellulose.
Diamond Cat Food Allergies
The regular Diamond cat food formula contains by-products, corn, wheat and many other ingredients that can cause allergic reactions in cats. The Diamond Naturals formulas do not contain any corn, wheat or soy, which are the three most common allergens for cats. If your cat has a specific allergy, you should always read the ingredients of any cat food formula.

Diamond Cat Food Ratings
Customer reviews of Diamond cat food are largely dependent on the specific formula being reviewed. The Diamond Naturals formulas have much higher ratings than the regular Diamond formulas. However, Diamond Naturals still seem to be too grain-heavy for many cat owners. Some cats do not seem to find Diamond pet foods to be easy to digest, which was much more common in the regular Diamond formulas.
