    We carry Blue seal products at our feed Mill. I would highly recommend them. The biggest seller is the Natural 26, for both kennel and local pet owners. It is a pork base feed and does extremely well. Blue Seal Life stages dog and cat foods are made from natural ingredients with added vitamins and minerals and contain NO meat by products. Life Stages dog and cat foods are wheat and soy free.

    I have a JR that developed chronic allergies and diarrhea later in life and nothing, especially the corn-heavy prescription food recommended by the vet, worked until I put him on the Blue Seal Pork and Barley. That is all I feed now to him and my adult standard poodle, and I just raised a standard poodle pup on it. He’s 9 months old now and is a large, well developed dog, just the right weight. My only concession to the poodles, who get easily bored with food, is to cook chicken hamburg, blend it with water and add a tablespoon to each meal. I would spend whatever it took to feed my dogs well and keep them healthy and would recommend the Pork and Barley to anybody. And I’d like to know Judie’s source of information, because I have read that all of Blue Seal’s meats are sourced in the U.S.

    My dogs love the Pork and Barley. No meat by-products. No corn,soy or wheat so less chance of an adverse reaction. And it doesn’t cost anymore or as much as most of the so called “premium” supermarket brands filled with corn and meat by-products.

    RickinVt, it is NOT normal for dogs to have itching spells. If your dogs are itching then feed them Blue Seal Pork and Barley. It doesn’t have any corn, wheat or soy in it. Those are the ingredients that cause allergies. There is beet pulp in the Pork and Barley, and sometimes it causes allergies….but not as much as the corn, wheat and soy.

    I had adopted two beagle mixes earlier this year from an animal shelter, love em! I already had a beagle mix. The shelter fed them Blue Seal. I read up on Blue Seal and learned its a very good dog food. It is now November and all three have developed itching & scratching. Anyone else have this effect and what would the recommendation for cures? Thanks.

      RickinVT, My dogs usually have itching spells no matter what food I feed them. I use salmon oil on their food. works great and gives them a nice soft shiny coat. Hope this helps
