Try a prey model diet. You’ll save money in vet/dentist bills if done properly. You can save money by being a creative “shopper” such as catching your own fish. I also get cheap beaver carcasses from a local trapper. If friends with a hunter, you’re golden. Largest purchase is a deep freezer and containers to store the daily food portions.

    Good luck,

I have been feeding my Yorkie (10 lbs) the Azmira Lamb Dry Food for a number of years now. She has done good on the Azmira but I did talk to my vet about switching her food because she always seems to be hungry. If I give her more than what’s recommended her stools get very loose. I can’t give her any flavored treats or real food because she will eat her stools and I don’t want her doing this. She also has always licked her paws very calmly like a cat would clean itself. The vet said she looks really great, the perfect weight and that her licking calmly is a habit that she had formed. She is 9 yrs old and still has lots of energy.
