Voluntary recall of Wellness Small Breed Adult Health Dry Dog Food.

Wellness has issued a small recall of their Small Breed Adult Health Dry Dog Food because the food was higher in moisture than the recipe calls for. This does not pose a health risk, but the food may develop mold before the expiration date. This recall only deals with the 12 lb. bags with a “Best Buy” date of 8/18/13.

If you have one of these bags, you can contact Wellness Food to request a replacement by calling 800-225-0904.

I have a bag of the Small Dog Healthy Weight formula (pictured). But the food you mention is the regular formula? Or no?

Anyway, my bag is dated 10JUL2013. It makes me wonder because my dog is having some constipation/anal gland issues.

I am sorry to hear that Wellness is involved in any recalls. I thought I was buying a decent food. :(

Thank you for pointing out our photo error. It is now showing the food that corresponds with the article.

Your food should be fine since it is not the date that was recalled. I hope that your dog feels better! Please let us know what you find out.
