Hy-Vee dog food voluntary recall

Hy-Vee issued a voluntary recall of certain bags of Hy-Vee Complete Dog Food, due to high levels of levels of  aflatoxin, which is commonly found in corn. This dog food was produced at a Kansas City plant operated by Pro-Pet, LLC and they were distributed to Hy-Vee stores in Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin between October 26, 2012 and January 11, 2013.

Please visit the FDA website to find out which products were recalled, along with the UPC codes, the Best By dates, and the lot numbers. No dogs have gotten sick from the food, and the food does not pose a health risk to humans who have handled it.
