My dog got sick on the Kirkland Mature dog food. I live in Nevada.
I bought a bag of this food on Friday last. My dog does not want to eat this food and is now vomiting. The brand is taste of the wild, bison. I’ve been informed by my Pet food store that this product has been recalled but with different expire dates (mine is April 20th, 2013). I just want to inform the public of this issue and to look out for any symptoms that your animals are distress.
so the recall states that there’s like 10-12 characters to read and mine only has 9 = how do i tell for sure about the recall
thanks
wendy
My dogs ONLY eat Kirkland super premium chicken and rice. The last bag I bought them just afew days ago has made both my boxer and Labrador DEATHLY ill! Vomiting up blood, bloody diarrhea the vet has my boxer on an IV drip and says its definitely food poisoning. My dogs don’t eat scraps or human food, they’ll on a strict measured diet of kirklands ONLY. I just bought this bag of food the first of February this year 2013! I’ve scoured the web looking to find a recent recall but can only find one for last year. I returned the food and am now wait to see if my boxer pulls thru. Be aware people in Tennessee and surrounding area’s that’s one bag of tainted dog food!!!
My dog has been eating Taste of The Wild for a little over a year. Just 2 weeks ago my neighbor (who also uses TOTW for her two dogs) told me she had to bring them into the vet because they had bloody stools. Her vet told her that he has seen several cases of this recently with pet owners who feed their animals TOTW. She said it was a severe bacterial infection in the intestines. I’ve been watching my dog closely as I bought a new bag of this dog food two weeks ago, he just started producing stools covered by mucus. Has anyone else been experiencing this? I live in Northern California.
